      Who would have thought Tenerife would be the place to try on my 'travelling boots' once again; it is not a back packers place of discovery, adventure or contact with the indigenous population but it is away and somewhere I had not yet visited.

      The four hour flight from Gatwick was wonderful, (mainly because I had spent too long grounded in the UK), regretfully the airport assistance was needed to transfer me from the check-in to the aircraft. ...

      ... into my world there. It was so perfect. I have to say, if they spoke french, I would move there! LMAO.

      Fun fact about the Spanish Canary Islands. They are closer to Africa than they are to Spain. One of the Islands is also the birth place of that language composed seulement of whistling! Very Very cool!

      ... named after the beach we were sitting at: Playa Jardin which contained egg, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese and pineapple - seriously worth a try if you are ever in Tenerife. Came with fries as well so went for a long walk afterwards to walk a little of it off but finished up with an ice cream - such a holiday thing to do!

      ... unable to work out what time it was. I tried to be optimistic that this wasn't a sign of San Fran's continual edging towards a chasm of uselessness but I had to admit he was getting less and less reliable. A saunter back to our apartment allowed us to take in the night life one last time as unfortunately we return home tomorrow.

      First stop - the Gorillas...he, the gorilla, had attitude and just lay there in the Sun. He wasn't moving for anyone and certainly wasn't going to entertain the crowds. Moving on around the corner we entered Planet Penguin - an artificially created environment complete with actual falling snow. It reminded me of Happy Feet, though no actual dancing in sight.
