... since we arrived. She gave up and called the driver after 5 minutes of leading the group past seemingly identical doors and exhausts. Comical if you weren't paying for the tour. We then drove to a spot along a small river and were greeted by musicians dressed in costume for a wine, cheese, and ham tasting with a few shaded tabled adjacent to a river. Unfortunately, the tour company scheduled two other buses to arrive at the same time. The people from the first bus ...

The old town of Split and Diocletian’s Palace is made up of narrow alleys full of boutiques and galleries, restaurants and cafes, its style is similar to that of the other Croatian towns we’ve been to. But like those, it also has its own unique charm and atmosphere. The palace itself was built by Roman Emperor Diocletian in 400 AD to be his retirement home. The wine was going down a treat and it was time to get the bill but the waiter ...

The ride back to town was certainly a thrill also with light gone and the maniacal driving of the Croats coming out to play. Safely home though we found the rest of the group for dinner, the extreme wait for food however tired us out and with an attempt to watch Chilic at the US Open turning into a snooze at the bar it was most certainly time for bed.
