... boating, camping at Bear Island, fishing, and there are marine education programs. There is a boat service to Bear Island which would be a great day out but we visited late in the day. Back at the caravan Peter had a few repairs to do - the purpose of our shake down trip. One of the wooden supports under the seating was broken so now repaired and all the others reinforced, and the awning needed tightening before it came off. Just as well Peter has bought a few tools and doesn't ...

... North Carolina, this is one of America's oldest seaports on the east coast. This will also be our fourth hotel of the trip. Seats 21-22 today, on the right hand side of the coach. ... a ’68 right?” Important stuff in VW circles! We searched through a bunch of junk windows he had lying around, but unfortunately did not find the right one.
So, we headed on over to where the other mechanic was that I couldn't get hold of the day before. This was Dave’s VW. He was just great! He stopped what he was working on and started making phone calls to wreckers. He did find one but it would take 3 or 4 days to get here, and ...

... we were looking around it would have been awful. Next stop Georgetown, cute little town and we went in the visitor centre which also seemed to be some sort of antique shop too. We paid for the tour and then waited and waited for it to start, there seemed to be a bit of commotion as there was an elderly lady the waiting to start filming - not sure what exactly. We were just about to give up when a young black girl arrived who seemed quite ...
