... and fruits. A Jesus figurine is hidden in the cake, representing when baby Jesus was hiding from King Herod. Whoever gets it in their slice is blessed. The other kings were posed in front of a nativity scene and for about $30 pesos you could have an instant photo taken with them.

Mario had the camera, so no pics of Leon unfortunately. Worth a visit though, despite being overshadowed by it's heavily marketed neighbour, Guanajuato, my next stop...

I was in the sustainable development session and found that the govt reps were really open to hearing new ideas for engaging young people in order to implement our recommendations and lobby within their governments for change. It was also really positive that they were open about the fact that climate change and environmental considerations ...

... two dance teachers who teach at a different studio (Antonio and Pollo). Apparently, Antonio and Pollo taught Josť and Suave to dance. I like learning from Josť and Suave, though. I feel like they are perhaps even better than Antonio and Pollo. I’m not really sure, though, because I don’t know the salsa technique. It was kind of cool to hear about the history of how they all learned and became dance instructors.

... I’ll get bad habits doing the other dances that will translate into West Coast Swing. However, I’m hoping to keep them separate in my mind, and also that Annmarie and Jason will fix me when I get home. Haha. I’m sort of counting on that one. :) I’m also worried that I’ll fall in love with the dance and the people here, and miss them terribly when I have to leave. I know that getting involved with a place is great, but then having to leave it so soon ...
