... constantly drifted down with the current; It was very beautiful.
We spent the day exploring around the area and dozing in the springs. I was starting to feel a little sick, but ignored it and tried to enjoy myself. The next day, however, I woke up feeling absolutely haggard. My joints were aching, skin sore and throat tight. My mood was also really flat which worried me a bit.

Very pristine environment above the tree line. Not a good place to be in the middle of winter.....
Beautiful views and the Aspen trees just beginning to change colour as winter approaches....

Skis on, we practiced moving and turning. Once we kind of had the hang of that, we practiced skiing down some small slopes. We used a small lift with a disc at the end of a pole that goes between your legs, and then you ski up the hill. That part was easy. It was so hard manoeuvring. Walking sideways to get up a slope, walking, turning off… The actual skiing downhill part was easier than we expected. ...
