    Weds 1st July - Up nice and early this morning and after a cup of tea, light breakfast for Sarah we set off at 7am for Larnaca Airport and Sarahs flight back to the UK for the hen party! Flights are with Aegean Air via Athens to Heathrow.....all this on the day Greece has not paid back its debt! Hope the airport in Athens stays open.....:).     ... time Rob managed to wreck another chair.........the second in 24hrs. No comment! Then followed by a skype session with Kayleigh to catch up with all her news. In the afternoon we set out for Mavi Kosk, the blue house. We were originally going last Monday but forgot it was closed!     ... relatively expensive.

    Larnaca, and for that matter Cyprus, seems to be just a holiday place for couples from England wanting to get a bit of the sun. They get that, and very red bodies. It seems most just go from their hotel and lie on the beach each day and bake their fair skin. Also a fair smattering of Russians but no Asians (yet).

    ... area to show our guests the sealed off area of Varosha with the decaying hotels from 1974. After the history lesson and wander along the beach we returned to the jeep and headed out of town towards the border between North Cyprus and the British Sovereign Base area. Quick call in at Supreme supermarket to stock up the cellar and then home in time for a nice couple of hours sat on the back patio.....some reading and some snoozing, but I will not reveal who....much. Shower before sundowners time and general chat.......supper was lovely Cyprus potatoes, green salad, lentil salad and nice Sea Bream.
