... my final day in the USA: Wake up 7:30am eat breakfast and have last shower for perhaps 30hours Check out 8:55 Taxi at 9 Whale watching cruise 10am Saw 10 grey whales and a 'mega pod' of Dolphins. This means 1000 plus Dolphins swimming around the boat. Pretty special apparently they are only seen every few years in these numbers. 1pm get off boat and catch taxi to train station. 1:40pm catch train to San Diego Arrive San ...

... walked all the way down to Pacific Beach. The beaches here are amazing. I loved them and they also had character. There were one off shops all along the beach boardwalk. People were riding bikes, walking dogs, roller skating. It looked liked everyone enjoyed it. On one side of the boardwalk were nice hotels and homes and the other side was the beach. ... the equipment. They had to race a fire truck down to the building nearby and put the fire out. It was quite a hard pumping motion to get the truck to move. Some of the mums struggled with it. Steph and Aaron pumped away, put the fire out and won the race. Hooray!!

... important life updates and hung for a bit over dinner, drinks and then some trivia, at which we got a very disappointing 9th place.
