    Doin' the Calypso!

Our stay at the Calypso resort was really nice. When we first checked in, it appeared that things weren't going to go well as others checking in were having all kinds of problems. But we didn't have any problems whatsoever getting checked in or getting to our room. The room (suite) was comfortable, clean, and just what we needed for when we weren't at the parks. We enjoyed the pools and generally had a wonderful time!

... Expedition Everest (without Mom), had lunch somewhere and supper at the Rainforest Cafe, did Kali River rapids of course. We saw Flights of Wonder, Finding Nemo and the Lion King. It's Tough to be a Bug. And we did end up at Epcot for Illuminations. Pardon the photos, my convoluted iPod seems to be taking everything sideways now. One more reason to never buy **** Apple products ...

Christmas Vacation 2014 Day 10 Magic Kingdom We had no plans before we went to bed on Tuesday evening. I woke up at 8:08 am, showered, got Kylee up and next thing we know, we arrived at Magic Kingdom by 9:30 am. How we did this, especially knowing that our drive to Magic Kingdom would take 25 minutes, I'm not sure. Jodi was on top of her game getting ready this morning, within just a few minutes she was ready to go. While I was showering, she received a text from Ray who ...

We started off today as a group divided. The kids ( all of them !) went off to the Magic Kingdom and the grown ups enjoyed some pool time and relaxation. Ahhhhhh! We met up at our first fast pass - The Voyage of the Little Mermaid in the new Fantasyland. The girls seemed to enjoy it and the boys , of course, were bored by it. I have to say the new areas of Fantasyland are very beautifully constructed and realistic. The next stop was ...

... Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids and The spinning dinosaur coaster. Then we headed to Everest to see if we could ride it before it got busy. it was a wait of less than 10 minutes, if anything the line was too fast to get into the whole story of the ride. the ride was great, backwards bits, in the dark bits, backwards in the dark bits, lots of screams, some manly and some not so manly. It was definitely the best way to put a smile on your face for the ...

Disneyworld is also currently celebrating Halloween with special Mickey Mouse Halloween parties at Magic Kingdom on select dates this month. This is followed with a special orange and green fireworks display. It has been fun to watch both children and adults in elaborate dress-up costumes. Some are Disney characters, while others dress as pirates or skeletons.
