    Doin' the Calypso!

Our stay at the Calypso resort was really nice. When we first checked in, it appeared that things weren't going to go well as others checking in were having all kinds of problems. But we didn't have any problems whatsoever getting checked in or getting to our room. The room (suite) was comfortable, clean, and just what we needed for when we weren't at the parks. We enjoyed the pools and generally had a wonderful time!

Suitably impressed by the whole experience we jumped back in the car and headed towards Cocoa Beach. We wanted to visit Pelicans on the pier again so I could verify whether the burger there really is the best burger I'd ever had. Luckily by the time we arrived the weather had improved again.

Needless to say, between the shows, a few meet and greets, and play time at The Boneyard, we didn't end up on a lot of the trails seeing animals. We saw Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade, which was a lot of metal animal floats. It ...

... and everything just looks really blue with big fluffy cotton candy clouds. I can't take my eyes off the in-flight map that shows where we are and our current flight data. I had no idea how quick that flight would be as we finished our ascent and we crossed over the southern part of North Carolina and a quick 30 minutes later we were dipping our nose down for the Florida coastline.

... this is really dinner and a show! You definitely eat here for the experience but that is not to say that the food isn't good too. My fried chicken with garlic mash and collared greens was gut bustingly fantastic and Sarah even got a clean plate sticker for finishing all her olive oil salmon. In fact she was given a round of applause by the whole room as our cousin (waiter) pointed out the spot where he claimed she had licked the ...
