    Doin' the Calypso!

Our stay at the Calypso resort was really nice. When we first checked in, it appeared that things weren't going to go well as others checking in were having all kinds of problems. But we didn't have any problems whatsoever getting checked in or getting to our room. The room (suite) was comfortable, clean, and just what we needed for when we weren't at the parks. We enjoyed the pools and generally had a wonderful time!

We had a wonderful trip. As planned, I saw the Canadian Rockies from the ground, and most of Glacier NP in the US as well as in Canada. And yes, Steve and I are still friends. Having achieved Elite Status with La Quinta, we enjoyed many upgraded rooms, some with kitchens, some with separate living rooms. And every time we checked in they gave us a complimentary treat to ...

We took a few professional pictures and this time headed into the Emporium to shop. I finally found my Disney hat and bought another copy of the Hidden Mickey book since I had left my other copy at home. Jodi got another Alex And Ani bracelet. Once we left we again toured the park looking for Hidden Mickeys along the way. We found one in George Washington's portrait ...

... really is all they say it is. And I think it will be even better when the children are older. But even with Adalia being so little she still came on all but one of the rides..and loved them. We had excellent timing with the connecting monorails and easily made the bus. Phew! I couldn't believe that at 9:45 both my children were still awake after the huge day we had. But they quickly crashed after a quick bath. It had been a much bigger day than we ever anticipated, but magical none the ...

... was the first shuttle to enter, return and re enter space for 18 missions, the last being in 2011. It took them years to perfect it as they had never reused a rocket before. The Atlantis launched like a rocket but landed like a plane. There was lots of information about it including set ups of how they eat, sleep, toilet as well as the actual Atlantis shuttle! It was huge! The centre of it that took things to space for example satellites could fit a 52 seated ...
