      Doin' the Calypso!

Our stay at the Calypso resort was really nice. When we first checked in, it appeared that things weren't going to go well as others checking in were having all kinds of problems. But we didn't have any problems whatsoever getting checked in or getting to our room. The room (suite) was comfortable, clean, and just what we needed for when we weren't at the parks. We enjoyed the pools and generally had a wonderful time!

As we pulled up to a petrol station to fill up the skies opened up and dumped gallons of rainwater on us. If today was to be a launch day the shuttle wouldn't be going anywhere. Not that it does these days anyway, because it's holed up in the place we're about to visit.

... go to ride harry potter again so we agreed we go just before dinner. So off we went- we went to island of adventure first and Jurassic park was open, omg I was freaking out as I knew I had to go on it. It started out like a casual boat cruise through the dinosaur times and then alarms start going off and we begin going uphill again and see a huge t- Rex and then (what I thought was) a vertical drop to the ...

... technology was amazing as the animation's mouth moved just the way he spoke. It was really easy to believe that Crush was real and right in front of us.

We managed to spend a full day at Epcot and it was actually kind of relaxing after all the mad ride-running-about we had done over the previous week or so. We got some Disney character photos taken which were lovely and the kids enjoyed it.

... the road I realized I had my expired US drivers license with me, I was supposed to be using my UK license.. Buggar, had to turn round again.... Cheryl muttered something about me being a dufus (loosely translated!) After meeting mum and dad I spent an hour figuring out how I was going to get a replacement tag, the offices don't open until 8am and we were planning to leave the house at 5! Picked somewhere along the route about 3hrs from ...

Universal Trip for Transformer's Opening Month

... blocked out for the entire month of July at Universal because of the new Transformers ride, but we could use them at Island of Adventure. It was the very last weekend in July, so we figured we would see what customer service could do. After going back and forth a few times, they finally granted us exception access to Universal but after 4PM, which was just fine.
