      Just a side note about "dog people" and "dog culture"... We have owned 3 dogs over the past 30 years. Until this most recent dog, Sammy, we just got a puppy, added it into the family mix and moved on. We had a dog, but we were not "dog people". I did not realize what this meant until this new dog.       Our social life so far revolves around the dog park. We've been there the last 2 days and met some nice folks, most from the Midwest and here for a month or more. All have been here in the past. I am working on remembering the names of people and their dogs. It is a great place to get information on all kinds of things about the island.       Checked out the Community Center this morning. There is tennis for Paul. Yoga and Pilates classes for me. We drove down to the south end of the island (Bradenton) to Coquina Beach.
