        ... disgusting. I disinfected mine, but it still grossed me out. After we looked at all the fish up close, we had the opportunity to jump off the boat! I got some cool videos of that. I got sort of sunburnt, so a nice shower back at home base felt good after a busy day.         ... potentially die. And this isn't even an exaggeration! It wasn't also just because I was out of shape! Every single person besides the mentors (who completely downplayed this day to a little walk in the woods) was on the verge of death. I even took off my shirt so I was only in a sports bra.         Why the heck did I not bring a fan here? You don't understand heat until you go to the equator in July. It is so. freaking. hot. Today we took the short 10 minute bus ride to Caña Dulce. I started out with some more cement mixing (yay) with a group of 5 other kids I didn't really know very well. 4 of them were rising seniors, all from California.         ... and that the food is prepared well. The electricity only works sporadically, and we are lucky to have that, the pool, and the a/c at all.

        I'm sharing a room with one if the teachers. Both teachers are young and fun and love to travel. I feel lucky to have my child learn from them, and even more lucky to have developed a friendship with each of them.
