    ... install our new touch-screen Garmin tomorrow.


    Tomorrow is now several days ago, and we have had no major disasters. Joey installed the chart plotter and radar, without falling off the mast - and it seems to work. We're currently watching the NASCAR racing on the Telly. We tried to watch Rebel Without a Cause, but it was in French, and Ken jacked up.

    ... Fort Myers before dark.

    At 1.00 pm on Sunday, we duly presented ourselves at Border security, having left Nancy surrounded by vicious oysters in the mangroves, and caught a forty dollar taxi to the Airport.

    And we thought we'd had a bad day on the ocean!

    We didn't have visas, and getting visa waivers was going to cost $585 each. My mind's eye flew back to the South ...

    ... to anchor and for the first time ever, we were going to tie up on mooring balls. Lucky for us, one of the Good Captains had already coached First Mate on the proper way to tie to a mooring ball (essentially one forms a bridle with ropes off of the bow of the boat, in case you folks wondered. It is also a good idea to use rubber gloves as those mooring balls and ropes can get awfully slimy, per advice from another good friend.) Rubber gloves donned and ropes in hand, the process ...

    I haven't written for awhile. I now realize it was probably because I felt like someone hit the pause key and we were waiting for the "play" button to get started again. Every morning when I woke I'd check my emails....waiting for word from Sweden on my residency application.
