    Culture shock, Le Doge, Casablanca

I'm in Casablanca now, it's 31°, Nantes was 12 °. It's brown like Australia, France was lush and green,I don't suppose they have great tasting strawberries here. How odd, this morning I was wandering around the market in La Boule, now Casablanca. Two hours flight and the world has completely changed, it's not like this in Australia! Waiting for Dad (Chris), I haven't heard from him. I wrote an email on Friday, no response. Hope all is ...

    Bonsoir mes enfants et amies!

We enjoyed a pleasant cycle up the coast following the "velocean" cycle path past grazing cows, salt marshes and tidal flats where the ocean recedes up to 3 kl and makes possible the harvest of the region's ample supply of oysters and clams. A few very short conversations with friendly locals were highlights as I struggled to understand their enthusiastic explanations of the region ...

... br> there is the most enormous mechanical elephant and
    I mean truly enormous!!
It's about three stories high and slowly moves along
    the dock carrying people
    up high squirting
water as it goes. It really is an amazing feat of engineering, it's
hard to describe it's just one of those things that needs to be seen.

    Off
to the coast tomorrow, lets see how the pensioners get on with the
    new sat nav.

... the only thing I could say was "He was so...whimsical!"...it's true though...he was! After that we explored the island a bit more and virtuously ate a heathy vegan lunch. Ok so it was the only thing open and it was raining...but it was still pretty tasty. Don't tell Iris! ;). On the way home we wandered through the "trendy" area and stumbled upon the worlds coolest street performing marching band. Also whimsical! The next day we headed over to the first chateau of our ...

Last time I was here, I couldn't walk yet. Now I can, yey!!

The Christmas market is so cool. Lots of people offering all kinds of stuff. I got to try roasted Chestnuts, sugar pretzels, and all sort of treats.

The lights are even prettier, but I wasn't allow to put them in my mouth. Bummer.
