Sayulita is a surfer town, it sits on a point out in the Pacific and the wave can get larger that they do here in Lo de Marcos. ... In March, however, the Tourism Minister of Jalisco was killed by gunmen while driving in Guadalajara, about 190 miles inland from here. Reports are that the murder had nothing to do with his official duties but were allegedly related, instead, to “his private business dealings.” He was the developer of resorts and condominiums here in Puerto Vallarta and in Los Cabos and Acapulco before his untimely demise.

... Vallarta for their annual vacation. There most certainly weren't any spring breakers onboard! Arriving in Puerto Vallarta after 2 hours sleep we cleared customs and headed on out.
