We caught the ferry back to Cancun for the night so we could catch out flight to Cuba the next day. We made our way up past the long strip of all-inclusive hotels to our budget one and moved into our room overlooking the ocean. Not much really to comment about, A place full of hotels and American restaurants.

When we got back to the hotel room they had decorated our room with balloons, flowers and a towel sculpture. ...

I did a night dive on the reef which was pretty cool. Saw a turtle, tonne of fish and crabs and coral etc.

    Tips for Travellers:

Hostel Mundo Joven - is a great hostel. Clean, friendly and located right next to the bus terminal.

Buses – From the airport head out the exit and keep going to your right past the arrivals Terminal. When you hit an area that looks like ...

... and just walked around the town square. Then it was a short drive to Chichen Itza. When we arrived, just before 10am, there weren't many people lining up or even many cars in the car park. Arriving early in the day was great because we didn't have many tourists getting in the way of our photos and we got some great shots. We didn't get a guide as we were happy to just read the available information and take photos. If I we hadn't been to Copan, I think a guide would have ...
