... the Franconia Notch State Park, heading for the Flume Gorge Walk. To our dismay, a coach load of English Saga-types arrived at the same time. We ducked our heads in embarrassment and pretended to be Lithuanian or whatever and snacked in splendid isolation. ... when you're just sitting around, it can get quite nippy!

On a positive note, we got to talking with the 2-man party who would climb before us. Really nice guys! We ended up chatting it up and it truly made the time fly by. Tim was visiting from LA and Andrew was from Concord.
