... the others decided to check out Brooklyn a bit more. We decided that we hadn't done enough shopping and went back to Manhattan. The shopping is amazing here! It's not only cheaper but there also seems to be better stuff. The best thing about shopping here is that there isn't a massive crowd or queue in every single shop (like London) which means you can actually walk around, look at stuff and go to the change rooms in your own time ...

Back to the hotel by 8.30pm and then popped into to bed to watch TV. There is a huge street party at Times Square. So much for spending our last night where all the action is.

Tomorrow we head off early to Penn Station to catch a train to Montreal, Canada.

Day 20 - Brooklyn Flea Market Hopping

Today I went to a few different flea markets. The weather was really nice since it never got out of the 70's and I have discovered that I do not like going into Manhattan on the weekends for a few reasons. The subways are always under maintenance on the weekends and you have to check the fliers in the stations for route changes. I find this annoying. Also, where ever I want to go is where everyone else in the entire five borough city wants to go. I just need a few days off ...
