      JJ enjoyed swimming in the lake looking for crayfish. He did not build a separate pond for them today but caught them, released them and then followed them around the lake shore.

      ... the BBQ. Jasper, Reuben & Dean went earlier to set up the booze eskies. About 60 people had a great time at the BBQ, met some lovely people, the Americans have been very welcoming. I loved JD, Andreas fathers sister, and the Aussie mob are good value too! And funnily enough the hired BBQ area people had locked the toilets so the only facilities were in the bushes! After cleanup, I was so tired I just hit the sack...dreaming of ...

      ... hair when the black sand collects on the magnetic area.

      Dylan and Emma play in the water for ages with the tennis balls. Dylan actually has a really good throw on him, catching is another matter, so we play splash instead. Rich takes over and leaps and dives around catching the ball, making them both giggle.

      Well, it's time to close the house in AZ and head up to OR and our responsibilities at the ODFW wildlife refuge where we'll spend the next 8 weeks... we broke camp in AZ and loaded the RV... spent a few days doing the pre-trip inspection and we’re off...

      First stop, Thousand Trails - Las Vegas... nothing important here.... pulled in late in the afternoon, set up camp and the next morning we broke camp... and headed on to Reno...

      Reno was about eight hours North of Vegas, but because I only checked out one bus station, and that bus station had no direct busses to Reno, I ended up taking 24 hours to get there.
