Probably a few years before CIA meant Central Intelligence Agency it meant Culinary Institute of America. When I was a kid we had family on my father's side who lived in the Hudson Valley not too far from Hyde Park. I began liking to cook already at a pretty young age and was fascinated by the big building we passed on Route 9 north of Poughkeepsie that I was told was a college for chefs.

The Beautiful town of Kent

A travel blog entry by heavenonearth on Oct 08, 2014

This was a very nice little town on the border on Connecticut and New York. It was so noce we almost stayed for the winter. The problem was that it was down in a valley so getting out of the valley with icy roads would have been a problem. During the summer there was the Houstonic River that ran along side the town. This place was beautiful during the fall. Also saw Bull's Covered Bridge. Too bad they did not have a campground ...

... the teams and parents came from all over the U.S. to compete. Camping neighbors, John and Susan from Louisiana had a grandson whose team made it to the "sweet sixteen in the tournament before losing to a more dominant team.

The Baseball Hall of Fame was impressive. As compared to the most classiest museums in America, this certainly ranks up there with the best. It's a family experience that encompasses, not only the dominated ...
