... the settlers who encountered this forbidding land and had to find a way to cross it.

In addition to the scenery, we saw a big horned sheep ram walking across the landscape and of course we had to stop and watch the prairie dogs.

After leaving the Badlands we continued our trek east watching hundreds of motorcycles, trucks and ...

... took Izzie over to the pool for a swim. Mom and Dad bought her a little inflatable so she enjoyed sitting in the water and splashing about. When we got back, Dave made an excellent dinner. ... Broil and Lisa and Sheila had hamburgers over the fire. We had oven fried potatoes and fresh pineapple. Dessert was a chocolate cake in a coffee cup - a camping specialty of Sheila.

By the end of dinner, Izzie was getting tired so the kids headed back to their condo.

    Happy Trails,

Today, we met the kids after breakfast. We took Izzie to the swimming pool for a little pool time. Izzie really enjoyed the swimming pool. At times she was moving her arms and kicking her feet. Looks like she is going to be a swimmer when she gets older.

Next task for Grandma and Grandpa was to put Izzie down for a nap. While Grandpa had her ...
