After eating a dirty burger from Mark Wahlbergs' brother's joint, Wahlburgers we arrived in Provincetown, a cute little town right at the end of Cape Cod, predominantly frequented by tourists of the gay variety. ... you get to the sea it's just as dramatic and soul-stirring in Cape Cod as it is in Point Reyes. What a gift to be able to unload the car yesterday afternoon, walk five minutes down the road and be facing the Atlantic in all it's glory. And then do it all again in the morning, only with a lovely cup of coffee in hand.
Now it's time to hunker down in my cozy cottage, wind and rain roaring outside, beer in hand to watch game 2.
The next morning we headed right back onto the road. Instead of taking the main highway we took the Kings highway which goes through all the old Colonial homes and towns that run along the inner part of Cape Cod. We drove to Wellfleet which just so happened to be having their annual Oysterfest that day. We parked at the beach and a free shuttle bus took us into town. Chris and I are both not really oyster people but seeing as this was an oysterfest we each got a nice big fresh oyster ...
We spent the morning walking around Natick again. The town is small and adorable and probably the definition of what people think of when they picture the "American Dream" at the center of town there was a farmers market so we went and got some fresh corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, and red peppers. We walked over to the library which was having an art exhibit and got some work done using their wifi before we decided it was finally time to leave ...
... coming down here on Saturday and N had a decent nap. Our house in Brewster is really lovely! We set the little boys up in a bedroom together and hoped for the best. It has worked out well so far, though they've been napping separately due to slightly different nap times and N's need for dark (fortunately there are some big, dark closets that can be made cozy without losing ventilation!).
