    Penultimate day

We can't believe we have only 2 full days left. Tomorrow we have to be at our final destination, Plataria, Sailing Holiday's northern Ionian base. We left our 3-night, post-storm anchorage at Monganissi as quickly as possible this morning since, frankly, we'd had enough of it and enough of getting in and out of a dinghy filled with water to go anywhere was getting tiresome. We headed off for the Greek mainland and there was just about enough wind for a gentle, morning ...

... woke me to tell me it was " last call!" Mindy, Roy And bob all came back around noon and said it was " cool" but no one really explained what it was except more rocks. For me, the highlight of the day was the opening of the water landing and the ability to literally jump off the boat into the sea!!! I was among the ...

    ... At the edge of
the old city there was a main road that reminded me of Brunswick, back in the
sixties. Unassuming little shops, magnificent plaques (that we couldn’t read)
and more coffee houses than we have in Melbourne.

When in Corfu, do as the corfuans do – sit in a sidewalk
coffee and watch the people walk by.
We had two ice coffees each and tried to decide which way will lead us back to the bus.

This morning we left Corfu to head to Albania. We caught the ferry across to a city called Sarande, just a one night stop before we head up to the capital. We stayed at a backpackers called the hairy lemon which was basically a 3 bedroom apartment which had 9 bunk beds in each room. I found out about the place because Tess is headed to work there for a few months in September. We didn't ...
