    ... to the coast the treeline progressed higher on the sides of hills as we got closer to the Wet tropics.

    The campsite in Townsville was yet another Big4, we have found them to be clean, tidy and with good amenities ( no more free pancakes though JS )..

    ... a helicopter. This was really interesting as it showed just how big some of the paddocks really were, and how difficult of a job it was as cows can run very quickly.

    Finally was able to pick up the caravan at 4pm today. We decided to go to a caravan park South of Townsville called Bush Oasis Caravan Park as it was $60 a week cheaper than one in Townsville its self. Takes about 10mins to drive in so not too far out.     ... we needed for to eat. Dropped our stuff at the tent and were told to try the shop round the corner. The woman must of had a deal with this shop because everything was horrendously priced. Didn't expect it to be char with a name like "Gourmet food".
    So we got the bus back to the ferry terminal where there was a IGA, think is's a bit like Aldi.

    ... I had the misguided idea that Cairns was much bigger. Very, very wrong. Townsville is beautiful, well set out, warm, established, growing rapidly and big! Our accommodation isn't the greatest, but for a van park on the outskirts of a city, it is fine. We spent our first day here travelling and having a swim.
