      ... for farm work to pop up so he could compete his days to qualify for a 2nd year visa. The hostel wasn't great, so we explored the only street in Ayr, and went for lunch and a catch up, it was a boiling hot day and I think we all got a little bit home sick.       ... closed due to the jellyfish or 'stingers'. Had a walk along it then had a look in the shops, wasn't much going on so we went back to the hostel to go for a swim. Pool wasn't super. Was a bit like a pond, with slight filtration.

      We went for showers. The girl in the hut had told us they we powerful, but christ. They could of stripped paint off a wall. I wasn't complaining. It was a nice massage, especially as the head was fixed low down so missed my head unless I crouched.

      ... their awnings. Although Ray does an excellent job of tying down the awning, we thought it best to put it down, just in case. The wind was quite strong as we made our way outside (past 10pm) and set about bringing down the awning with very little light and the worry that it may be damaged at any moment with the strong gusts of wind.       ... the worlds largest offshore sugar loading facility, a jetty that stretches 5.74 Km out to sea (and we thought our jetty was long). It is so long it follows the curveture of the earth. According to the locals there is some great fishing there also. After Lucinda we stopped at Cardwell for lunch. Pretty little seaside town with a picturesque foreshore area.
