    ... own settlement at the end of town(Thats todays history lesson) The town is surrounded by spectacular scenery and has lots of walking trails winter brings skiers as it is quite close to The Remarkable's ski slope I would imagine it is extremely pretty in the autumn as the trees lose their leaves. Skyline Gondola, and after ascending 450m upwards, we were awarded with a magnificent panoramic view consisting of Coronet Peak, the Remarkables mountain range, the fresh waters of Lake Wakatipu, and Walter Peaks.
