Woke up to morning fog, which made the place a bit spooky. Time to say goodbye to Kenilworth Homestead and move on. We packed up and then helped Brett pack up as Angela left early this morning as she had to go to work. We went into town, only 2 Klm, to get some milk, and Brett wanted to get a coffee. Well coffee turned into breakfast for him and the kids while we had coffee and a ...

Stayed - Big 4 Noosa Bougainvillia Holiday Park $48 per night ensuite site. Modern, clean ensuite. A concrete pad for annex, grass for van and car. A friendly man in a golf cart saves marriages by directing husbands as they reverse their vans onto the site. The park is out of town which is a bit of a negative but not too far. Next time (on our way back down) we wanted to stay at Noosa River Holiday Park as it is right on ...

We eventually found it though, it was hidden right in the national park right on a huge lake. Great views, great weather, wild kangaroos all in the fields around us, Little ducks that Emma had made ...

... a good salad and juice bar. But the location is great and it is a nice lunch.

We have to pack up again as we are leaving for Port Douglas tomorrow. The weather forecast is NOT good. Apparently the wet season has been delayed and has now arrived. There are expecting lots of rain, wind and there is a cyclone nearby but it is apparently not expected to hit PD. This makes it difficult to travel possibly and ...

... was a disappointment. Firstly the walk there isn't as pleasant as I had anticipated. I had expected the walking trail to be compacted ground but the trail is made up of decomposed leaves and can be quite slippery. There are even thorns on some of the branches, making the walk quite dangerous. What's more, some of the younger children came along and I was getting worried for their safety halfway through the hike. Secondly, there isn't ...
