We set off on Tuesday morning in one of Roberts old cars. Little did we know that the air con in it is terrible, so we melted for 2 and a half hours. When we arrived in the Gold Coast it was like paradise, our hotel is right beside the beach and its roasting hot! It's quite strange having a city right beside the beach but it makes it that bit more …

We followed the road to a second lookout spot at the other side of the range, and because we hadn't seen a car for ages, we assumed we were on our own. Surprise, surprise we arrived at a full car park and crowds of people. I don't know why we bothered because the visibility had decreased dramatically and it was now raining. We drove down to North Brisbane to ...

    Surfers 'Paradise' apparently.

... anyway, today! Went and got all my vaccines sorted which was a lot easier than I thought, but very expensive. I am now officially though, 'Asia ready'. Spent the day looking around the town which is just as horrible as I previously described, and in the afternoon it started raining and hasn't stopped so i've spent the night listening to my dorm of numpty's chatting away. Coolangatta tomorrow :)
