We finally got away from Camooweal around 1:30 in the afternoon. We would have got away earlier but we attempted to put petrol in the car we found the petrol cap was broken and stuck in the locked position. We ended up leaving the servo and heading about a kilometre back down the road to fill the van up with water. While we were there Jase got his …

We then headed back to base and got some bicycles out for a couple of hours to ride up to the lighthouse at byron bay. A tough ride up hill and a shock to the system! But it provided really good views and was nice to roll home afterwards with little effort! We went for a big meaty pizza and drinks in the evening, and caught a bit of a band which the ...

... to our hostel, which was the cheapest we could find on hostel bookers. It was much nicer than we were expecting and we were in a dorm with only 6 people. We also had a tv and an ensuite, not too shabby! We dumped our bags and headed out to the supermarket to stock up on food and then headed back. In the evening we went out with the hotel as they had free entry to a club and you get one free drink! It reminded us a lot of Dusk though so ...
