We made it to Boulder Wednesday night and found our campsite at the top of a windy, steep, narrow, 4-wheel-drive-necessary dirt road up in the mountains. It was a 45 minute drive from the city so we decided to pack up early Thursday morning in search of a new home. We went to grab a quick bite in Boulder and I fell in love. We ate a delicious breakfast and then spent a couple hours wandering around the shops of the Pearl Street Mall which takes up ...

It sounds like if you had ...

I was not comfortable with making a 10-hour flight through heavy precipitation and moderate icing. That being said, I really wanted to wanted to make some progress east. It's difficult to find a good place to land, too, because of the giant line of rain showers that blocked the entire country.

I told my family about my ...

Cataract Lake - Eagle's Nest Wilderness Loop Hike

... It was probably another
three miles or so on a graded dirt road to the parking lot at the trailhead
just below Cataract Lake. I decided to hike the trail in the recommended
counterclockwise direction.

It turned out to be a long a quite strenuous hike, one I
could have made longer with a few short side trips to lakeshores. The scenery
was spectacular and varied, very different from that when climbing a peak, ...
