... Wai Harbor, they relocated to Florida. They purchased a very nice home, on solid ground, with pool, landscaping, a garage workshop for Dave and studio for Nancy. This trip afforded us the opportunity to visit them in their new digs and check out the Cape Coral area, one that we had only driven through in the past.

... Don Pedro Island – This is a completely residential island and is home to a State Park. The only business on Don Pedro is Islander Properties, which handles real estate rentals and sales and property management. The roads are unpaved. There are no stores and no restaurants on the island. You can drive your car or golf cart from Knight Island (Palm Island) to Don Pedro Island but luckily for us, Dave and Pam took us by boat.
We have been so fortunate to see so many beaches around the world.
This trip our slogan should be "A different day, a different beach."
Our goal is to hit as many Gulf coast beaches as we can during this trip and we are on our way.
By any standards some of these beaches are awesome. The warm Gulf currents and the sand are a couple of reasons.
We are making Englewood our home base ...
... then 200 yard swim and apparently were snapped by the photographer.
Their days are LONG - leaving the house at 7.15 am Monday to Friday, with swimming training 4 nights a week from 5.30 till 7pm.
Next weekend we will be up early to go watch them compete in a 7.30am start for a 5K run- before the heat is on.
