We were greeted warmly by Gertrude Frank at her pension, and got quite a smile from her when we exchanged jars of jelly as we had last year. We ate again at Leonardo’s, our favorite place for food in Erding, always delicious and reasonable ...

We walked on the beach and visited the Lighthouse Museum but the picnic lunch had to be put on hold. We are still amazed that we live near the beach. Next time we will get to stay a little ...

... so another day full of busy, busy. Jan had a coupon so we were able to play 18 holes for the 4 of us with 2 carts for $40. Now, I had not lifted a club for years, so after 15 holes - I had done enough golf for 2 rounds, so chose to sit out the last 3 holes , driving the cart and dripping , looking like a regular beet.

Manasota Beach is another favourite of ours , a 20 minute drive from here ,so today headed away with cooler packed, umbrella and beach chairs. ...
