I watched a heron and swam around and then we went to Cabbage Quay which was such an interesting place. Ducks bathing outside and dollar bills hanging from everywhere. A lovely ...

After coffee and donuts we left to see the Everglades which we had passed last night, so needed to travel back 30 miles to Everglades City. We did not want to miss the opportunity to see an alligator .We had a great time speeding through narrow Everglades, the 'captain' sped us around in circles several times, I held on for grim death and Liz hung onto her hat. We were not able to see any 'Gators' during the trip ...

... store to pick up charcoal - to try out the new BARBIE! Cooked chicken on it and it worked just fine:). After dinner we drove to "Rosie's Cafe" - one of the restaurants at "tastes of the island" to get one of their cupcake sundaes. We split one - a good job too because it was a very generous portion of icecream with a cupcake on top! MMMMMMM! Then came home to relax. Rained all evening and through the night. Afterwards, Dave and Pam treated us to an awesome boat ride and we treated them to lunch at Gasparilla Marina.

The boat ride was complete with lots of pelican, eagle, fish and dolphin sightings!

The photos you see of the bridge is a cool swing bridge (as opposed to the more common draw bridge) to Boca Grande. It is the only land link ...

        Shells, Birds & Sunset

We came out to Bowman's Beach for some different shells.
I was in the water for a while trying to get shells before the surf break. Dolphins were playing in the waves, so I wasn't able to get those photos. I did get some after I got out (see next entry).
And we saw a shark right where I was. Apparently the inlaws saw it too down the beach. Glad I was out of the water by then.

The sunset wasn't as good as we wanted, but still nice.
