    ... with winning as an 8 year old in the under 14year olds....and Isabella finishing 3rd in her age group, with Talley finishing with her. Sophia also did a good time, but not placed, being very happy to compete with the family.

    Car packed and down to last minute cramming in the overloaded Mustang!!!
    Departing 8am tomorrow for an 8 hour drive to our first overnight stop in Mobile, Alabama.

    ... been designated a nature preserve. It sits just east of Knight Island. It can only be accessed by boat. A kayak will do just fine.

    Knight Island – Bordered by Stump Pass at the northern tip, Knight Island is home to the Palm Island Resort. Since there is really not much other than the Resort on Knight Island, it is commonly referred to as “Palm Island.” This is where we spent the day with Linda (previous entry).

    ... having had several fun hours. I was driving and detoured via Venice Beach to the Pier….the children alighted from the car and headed straight for the large boulders that line the breakwater…rock hopping their way all the way down the Pier to the end and back again.
    Fisherman line both sides of the walkway out onto the Pier and it is always interesting to see what they are catching, while watching the sun dip into the ocean at sunset.

    ... Orlando had 41 beers on tap! A 'draught' beer is an 'on tap' beer, otherwise they are in bottles.
    'Well drinks' are regular 'no name' mixes like gin and tonic, rum and coke etc. but not name drinks like Jack Daniels or Grants or Blue Saphire.The glasses are always filled right up with ice before the spirit and mixer is added. Wine glasses are usually filled up with wine when bought by the glass.

    As far as where to buy drinks, beer and wine seems to be available ...
