On today's tour, we stopped at some more lookouts (a couple were the same stops as our other tour) and then took a break along the Tara River, which is absolutely beautiful. The water is fresh and the canyon has the nickname, "The Tear of Europe" due to it's cleanliness and purity. ...

As we left Corfu, the captain informed us that tidal conditions were going to prevent us docking in Albania and that we would therefore have an extra day in Kotor. This suited us perfectly - and most others seemed to agree. Albania is still recovering from having been the last European country to throw off communism. ... bunks. Only as wide as your shoulders and therefore no room to swivel. Now in my last post I mentioned my vertigo which didn't fare so well on the top bunk. Two further nights on the bottom brought more sleeplessness as our room mates, 2 Portuguese snoring machines and a couple who came home drunk at 5am each night, meant that one way or another I was woken every hour. Those who know me should be thinking right now "why weren't you the one drunk at 5am?" Despite there ...

... Kotor. The sun was setting and the sunlight danced over the water. It was really beautiful to see. On the way back down we found a small hole in one of the walls which led to a church behind the mountain. Now we felt like we were really exploring!

When we finally made it back into the old town it was dark and we were starving so we went back to the grocery store in the shopping mall and bought some picnic supplies and ciders. We headed to the port located at the front gate of ...
