Today we set off from what was to be our last glimpse of France for a couple of weeks. I wanted to end to end this entry on that note, but I found that in my haste to write a decent entry for Cádiz, I neglected to verify some information passed along to me. I do not know that Columbus' voyages left from there. It was still an important port and magellan's voyage around the world did depart from Cádiz. I did hear though, that Christopher really enjoyed the pescado frito in the plaza de las flores there.

sister, Allegra because I know they will get along very well. Miller and
Courtney are very sweet and motherly. We went to a restaurant on the beach,
walking distance from the ship. The food, of course, was incredible! I had
several pintxos, a glass of white wine, and my entrée was gnocchi with
Bolognese sauce. It was such a lovely time-just a small group of friends
enjoying a long, leisurely, fantastic meal and admiring the sunset over the

There's a funicular railway that takes you to the top of a small mountain on the edge of Bilbao. We went at twilight and got some beautiful views of the city below.
