... Not only have the donations received already far exceeded my expectations, but the kind words and general interest and support that I have received have been amazing. So thank you all. It is all very much appreciated and I can't believe that between us we really will change these little lives. It is my motto here in Antibes, but this is the ultimate "think globally; act locally ...
Antibes, Provence, France marianner... seen and spoken to, to date.
Set off mid morning to drive through Gorges du Verdon, again another stunning drive. This time though the weather was kind to us and we were able to get out for a hike after lunch. It seemed like a popular drive as we encountered several other tourists, one couple were eating lunch at the same spot we were. They packed up their picnic, took a swig out of ...
... cutest children ever, and yes even i thought they were cute. As you all well know i despise babies so i hope you understand just how cute these 2 baby people were.
our story starts with a small black child shouting " blah blah blah blah black is blue- tiful". yes "blue" tifal. apparently his one phrase of english impressed small blonde child person enough to go over and befriend the bean. they even shared blocks. but alas when the train ...
... the wonderful "fun" and "vitamin" radio stations to keep us entertained with "Evacuate the Dancefloor" and 3 other dance songs that they kept repeating.

... We had planned to go to the beach around 5pm, but by that time, we were all to busy reading or playing on the computers. I was also trying to work out how to get the GPS working on Jan-Erik's new Nokia phone. We had a wonderful dinner down by the old wall, sitting outside looking at water on a warm still night is just magic.
Antibes, France friiskiwi... outside, overlooking the Med. and Nice's port...awe, Nice for Christmas, not a bad idea after all, eh? After eatting my meal I decided to head over to Vieux Nice, which was just a few steps away. As I walked over to Vieux Nice, I not only passed the port with all of its boats and some of the stores and the antique market, but I noticed a lot of bicyclists passing by me, as well as people jogging, running and roller blading. It was kinda nice to ...
Nice, France swisherd... to communicate well enough, but I'm pretty sure they all thought I was an idiot anyway--or at least a tourist, which might be worse. So here I was in Nice, with only a slight clue of where to go. I managed to buy a ticket for the shuttle which was to take me to the SNCF station, but once there, I learned from the guichet (in bits and pieces of the French I could understand) that the Chemin de Fer train station (conveniently not located at ...
Nice, France surrealcerealToday I went to Museum D Orsay, which had a lot of great stuff. Degas, Monet, Manet, Van Gogh. I really enjoyed seeing this stuff, more so than the Louvre, I ate lunch on the roof of the museum, I made a sandwich. I walked to Notre Dame and took some great pics, there is a little area of bushes where there are tons of birds and you can feed them. They fly right into your hand and ...
