At our first night at an airbnb, we were made to feel very welcome by Vicki and Buddy, they showed us to a very lovely large bedroom with an onsuite. Having slept very well the next morning we left early for Gatlinburg, the second attempt! No short cuts, no scenic routes just the Interstate all the way. Wow what a ride. I followed 16 to Rt. 58 at the Log Cabin Store in the pictures. Rt. 58 was a surprise because I was expecting rolling curves and country riding ...

Still, people wanted to stop to take a photo and didn’t seem too concerned with anything but what they were doing. At times there were a dozen or more cars stacked up like a conga line.

Our first stop along the loop was right away as there were several horses in a ...

... 8) and decided it wasn’t quite as costly as I had thought. We walked down the streets of Gatlinburg and eventually ended up at the Sky Lift and decided to go on and take the ride. It was so nice and peaceful, quiet and gently moving up to the top. When we got off we wandered around up top for a bit, took a couple of pictures, just enjoyed the view and then made our way back down. It was so peaceful I think ...
