      ... do the coastal walk and visit the koala hospital so after checking out I headed out for the day, map in hand and about 15km to cover. The coastal walk is a stretch of seven beaches south of Port Macquarie to a lighthouse 9km away. It was mainly flat and the inclines were steady so nothing like the hike up to the lighthouse in Byron.
