... s decided to introduce himself (Terry, his wife was also a mess) and give us a history lesson on what POM stands for (Prisoners of Mother England), his life story, his wedding back in Melbourne, his spud farming days in Manjimup, for the next hour… we couldn’t get a word in sideways… finally his wife (and daughter holding his grand-daughter) convinced Terry he needed to go… and so did we… tomorrow… Croatia awaits ...

... to go for the best cuisine. That
night we had dinner at Taverna Marbella, a gorgeous little spot overlooking the
ocean. THE best moussaka (my favourite Greek dish) I have ever had and Al's
favourite meal lamb chops cooked to perfection. Amused ourselves by feeding the
fish some tomato which they swarmed like baby piranhas a bit like the bees we had to escape at every breakfast swarming around our OJ and honey at our hotel!

... with lots of steps through the ancient ruins, dating back to 400 BC.
We see Greek, Roman and even Venetian ruins. Very spectacular. We are told that many mosaic floors have been preserved, but they are covered in plastic and sand to keep them from deteriorating. Not much good for us us, their must be a better way! We eventually get to see a small example.

Waking up on the ferry this morning feeling a little worse for wear and over heating. The cabins were cosy with no air conditioning so we didn't really have a wonderful sleep. Anywhere with the Greek Islands now coming into sight excitement is pretty high. Once we were off the boat we boarded the bus again for a short drive to Plataria, which is the mainland of the Greek Islands, where our yachts were waiting for us. Scott was our skipper so we had a captains ...
