Jeff was nice and accepted a partial payment since I wanted to see the original Invoices from the different Government Agencies and assured me to forward the Invoices as soon received. We shall see..... I do not know any Country where Customs Charges You $ 600 to see your Passport and then $ 600 again when you leave for a Total of $ 1200.. The colorful Jeepneys belt out rolling black smoke as they pass by the tall, modern sky-scraper buildings with the small, shanties right next to them. This city is a mix of the modern and still developing world. The traffic moves at a snail's pace. It's stop and go....mostly stop on the too-small roads in the city of 12 million people. ... to find my way forward from but every single one is jam packed with people leaning out of the doors its so full and they are barely moving. I walk for about two hours (asking directions along the way and pepper spray in hand) to where I can finally catch a jeepney to another train station (the LRT system which hopefully is up and working). ... we found the city a little bit dangerous and decided just to take a taxi from there. We didn't want to put our safety in danger for a few dollars. We first bought some food in the shopping mall and then we took the taxi from there. There was a line of people queuing for the taxi and after waiting for some 20 minutes we jumped into one. The final price was PHP 175 with a meter, not that bad.
