... clearly a big holiday resort attraction. Even our hostel was considered a party hostel but it seemed like a ghost town in comparison to the amazing hostel in Byron. Maybe it's because it was the wrong season but there was ************e staying there, and consequently it didn't quite seem like the party hostel it claimed to be. We had a few good nights there, but unlike Byron I'm not looking back with fond memories and wishing I could go back. Maybe I had high expectations after ...

... we picked up cake from a bakery and sat on the beach admiring the view and also the very dark clouds heading in our direction. We decided from here to walk up to the lighthouse stopping off at the most easterly point of the Australian mainland. We were very unimpressed at the unfriendly staff so headed to bed for a earlyish night, before getting up early and heading to the zoo ...

... to add a little bit of culture into our journey! We had a platter of the 6 different beers brewed right in Byron Bay, I have to say they were pretty tasty as well!

On our last day we had a walk out to the very end of the beach towards the lighthouse as this is the most easterly point in Australia. We sat watching the surfers which is always a cool sight while the sun was slowing setting in the distance.
