Alas, tonight we are flying home. Today we walked to the sky tower and checked out the views from the top. There were people bungy jumping (see pic). Only in NZ!

After, we walked down Queen Street, a cool shopping area, to the Ferry Building and wharf. The whole area is bustling with people, shopping, sightseeing and sipping coffee at the …

Today we returned the campervan and flew from Christchurch to Auckland. I have to say, I was sad to turn in the van. I may not want to sleep in it all the time but it sure was fun.

Tonite is our last night in New Zealand. The time flew by. We still have plans for tomorrow. Our flight
doesn't leave till 11 pm so we're going to visit the …

Got up and decided to do the hop on hop off bus....great way to see the city without driving! Actually after being in bribie for two years I found the bustle of Auckland a bit much! So hard to believe from someone who lived in Sydney for 35 years! We were told Auckland was voted in the top few cities world wide for the best place to is also the city with more boats per capita than anywhere ...

... that it justifies its use? Compared to Australian roads the difference is enormous.

Near Thames, on Coromandel Bay, we come onto State Highway 2, with far more traffic, and a slightly less noisy sealing quality. Communication became easier. This route runs through the delta of the Waihou river, flat as your kitchen-table, farm-houses few and far between, cattle in great numbers on brown meadows. The North Island suffers from a rather serious ...

In the circumstances, one could call them fauteuils, which used ...

Bankside is located a couple of blocks from Queens Street shopping and Britomart. The room was clean and the kitchen had the necessary supplies except a frying pan.
All rooms have a small balcony. We were on the 4th floor and had a view of the neighboring businesses. No complaints. I didn't request a great view. Manager was cordial and willing to help.
