After the group meeting we all went for a meal at a nearby Thai restaurant. Adam ate a noodle dish and I had sweet and sour chicken...altogether it cost under 5!!! So cheap. New Year in Bangkok!!! All I was expecting was having a great fun and that's exactly how my day has started.
Splashing the water all over me and splashing it back at people. I mean, what else would you need rather than just letting it go. People had nothing but smiles on their faces, wet clothes on them and water guns in their hands. It was nothing but inviting you to have fun with.
But one thing I forgot about was ....I am in Bangkok!!!

The view is as always spectacular , it is a favourite watering-hole for the westerner, drinks are compulsory and expensive.

The Skytrain is really very convenient. It brought us back to the SIAM station, with the famous Siam Paragon shopping mall on one side, and a second one on the other. After some erring we stopped at 'Peppery’, where we had delicious, not too spicy food which we enjoyed down to the last ...

... meant to go to the Golden Mound, and we did start off in the right direction. We had a lot of fun with the much more psycho driver going on the wrong side of road, driving on the footpath, weaving, speeding and eventually just going through the protest zone.

Unsurprisingly at this point, the next stop was not the Golden Mound, it was a tailor. We had a polite look but didn't buy anything. After that we were taken to a jewelry shop. Again ...
