... the bay was still emptying, so the current was too strong. We put some more sun lotion on as it was now really sunny, then went for a swim, was really nice and you could see wha they meant about the current. You’d float off straight away!

After a little bit we went for the safety talk and were able to grab our things. Sorted our stuff out then headed up the beach a little so it would be easy snorkelling towards the shipwrecks! Went to put my mask ...

Headed back to the hostel ...

Botanic Garden which was very nice, free ferry, Southbank with the city beach, CBD and Kangaroo point (no there aren't real Kangaroos) ;) We once went with some from the hostel to the lagoon sounds fancy but is just another name for the city beach. We played ball in the water which was ...

Saturday 24 January - Departed on time at 11:55am. Aunty Helen gave us privileged status and we were allowed to board first onto the aircraft - no pushing or shoving. The plane was only about half full and I had a whole row of 4 to myself. Roz & Helen sat in a row of 2 and I was on the aisle opposite.
