... the souvenir shops... We then headed up the hill a little to the palace and parliament house. Again all of the architecture is quite stunning, as are the gardens. Unfortunately although Dave took plenty of photos, they don't really do justice to just how beautiful the buildings all are ( sorry luv) Now, earlier we mentioned shops, what we didn't mention was chocolate shops... ... of powder sitting on a bench so they donated a handful to our washing - thankyou! Ho-hum..an hour or so later the weather had not improved, so once back at the hotel we decided to just go across the road to a steakhouse for dinner. Again Regensburg is much like York with lots of independent restaurants and bars so you can spend a nice relaxing evening just walking from place to place. ... who checked the security footage and you can see them take my phone. So I went and got a police report from the local station. They spoke French with basic English. They were very helpful and wrote me up a police report. The hotel had security doors and was the nicest place we had stayed so far. Felt like an absolute idiot. Killed the vibes for a bit.
