... this is that we were both worried I would have to watch the festival from the sidelines. Luckily for us either my adrenaline kicked in or the pain killers finally worked but I was able to move with a lot more ease and was often able to forget the pain. Alright now for the short version:
- we got on the airplane and sat in the designated festival section
- landed and had our own area to get our wrist bands
- followed people who were dressed up to our shuttle
... from now on Arrived at the Vienna airport just before 18:00 and its warm and blue skies....went to the taxi company that we had been referred to by Diana the apt. Owner and 30 mins later we were at Neustiftstrasse 48 and were met by Diana's husband. They just had a new baby girl,Emma Mae, 2 weeks ago and Diana was busy with the baby. ... 1619, the statue has been repeatedly stolen; the current statue is a copy from 1965. It'd could be the next project for 80 Timms Road, an outdoor water feature of the Manneken Pis! Just across the street from here was the waffle stand, with their products on offer from €1. We jumped at the opportunity to try some of Belgium's finest. I purchased a return train ticket in the lower level (-1) for just under 11 EURO and headed to the platform. I had some time before the I needed to wake up so an extra cup of coffee was calling my name. At 4.20 EURO a cup I'm not sure that I'll be drinking it often!!
I actually packed lighter this time than my previous trip to Europe. I bought a new camera bag that looks very hip and has lots of storage ...
... and some other neat things ( I don't really remember what). I tried some great Belgian chocolate, and there biscuts filled with chocolate which were sooo good! A group of us went out to eat and I got noodles of course. Then we went back to the bar and hung out there th rest of the night. Sunday we just got up, got breakfast, and took the train home. Overall a very successful weekend!
