    ... called Rototom Sunsplash. It was rastafari heaven and I loved it. Hippies and dreadlocks galore, smells of green substances clouding the air- but the site was the cleanest campsite I think in the history of festivals. Around 250 showers, sinks and toilet cubicles, someone at every toilet handing out toilet paper, a kitchen to cook your own meals, and it was very very cheap to eat and drink there. I loved it!

    ... alongside the attractive sandy beach. Although there's a campsite near the hotel, we find ourselves in a very refined and elegant area of the resort. It is interesting to see villa after villa right on the promenade, dating from the early 1900s, well kept and restored, and without the graffiti that blights so many Spanish towns. We got to the beach just north of where we wanted to be by about 12, so we all sat down and ate our bocadillos (sandwiches that everybody's host mom had given for the trip).
