... the city was built BC, but was also lived in AD as there are signs of Christianity. The city was abandoned however many centuries ago with excavations commencing almost 200 years ago. Excavation work continues with only 15% of the city uncovered...and is probably worth revisiting in years to come as more of the city is revealed.

Arriving in Turkey I wasn't to sure what to expect; am I allowed to wear shorts, tank tops .etc. With it being a very Muslim country I didn't want to offend anyone here, or possibility stand out. I played it safe and wore pants, a Tee and a scarf. When we landed though none of the women were covered up and it was 37C and I was super hot. Oh well, better to be safe then sorry.
