The joy of life comes from our encounters, with new experiences, different people/cultures, experiencing different foods, different languages, etc.

... later a giant Lincoln turned up and while we could have held a footy match in the back, I shuddered to think what it would cost. We were leaving via JFK airport which is further away than LaGuardia and we took about about an hour to get there. Surprisingly the guy only charged us $67 which is only $10 more than a Yellow cab. ... a tourist is difficult. The subway map is confusing, much more so than the London Underground, and the directions we have to the hostel are rubbish. It was a weird feeling packing up and heading to the coach for the last time with some amazing new friends. We were headed on our last trip, finishing in NYC. We stopped in at Philadelphia and on the way to Philly we watched Rocky the movie. Once in Philly we had pictures with the Rocky bronzed statue and ran up the stairs of the art museum like he did in the movie. Do as the Phillians do - it's Philly cheese ...

The evening was amazing and we got out and still no rain so we lucked out and were able to walk back. I noted the interesting piles of trash they make on the sidewalk every night.
