Our last two days in New York we have split. Rick and Vreni went to Harlem yesterday and today to the Metropolitan Museum.
We headed to see the Intrepid Aircraft Carrier yesterday, setting off in a shower of rain but by the time we surfaced by the Lincoln Tunnel nearby there was blue sky. The Intrepid served in the Second World War and the Cold War and has now been retired and is a Naval and ...

Unfortunately we were far too early for sunset so we went for some food and drinks at a restaurant at the bottom of the building.

The rest of the evening was mainly spent trying to keep Sandra awake until at least 9pm so we sat with drinks in Bryant ...

... Macey’s.

Off we go to Time Square, Macey’s, Madison Square Gardens,
Rockefeller Centre, Radio City Music Hall, Empire State Building and Central
Park. We walked and walked and walked. Had to stop a number of times to re-hydrate
and do a bit of shopping. Being school holidays there were people everywhere.
Had a great day, but got very hot and stuffed (see the photo of Place at
Central Park) and got back on ...
