I went out to Dubai to visit a friend of mine and also my partner (at the time) who had a weeks leave on his navy deployment. It was a completely spontaneous decision that required an awful lot of overtime to pay for (I only decided three months before I went) It is also where my story starts, my first holiday on my own as a grown up and where I …
... and I can turn my back now on the crazy 6 hour marathon dance with Navman whose downloadable Western European GPS maps stripped me of my google browser and gmail. I managed to get my $89 refund from the American online help supposedly in New Zealand and will now happily pay the extra £7 a week for gps in my hire car in Manchester. Leaving tonight from Adelaide to Dubai - songbooks, camera and watercolours packed. Will miss you all - stay tuned Christina ...

The Auris was wonderful. Very clean and well maintained. The staff were fantastic, they could not do enough to please you. It was very easy to book all our tours in the lobby. The location is also very good. It is right next to the Emirates Mall and the metro station and a fairly short taxi ride away from everything else.
