The Auris was wonderful. Very clean and well maintained. The staff were fantastic, they could not do enough to please you. It was very easy to book all our tours in the lobby. The location is also very good. It is right next to the Emirates Mall and the metro station and a fairly short taxi ride away from everything else.

There we watched a show about falconry. This, along with the above-noted camel-racing, is one of the official sports of the UAE. The Sheiks used to have their own falcons and the ...

... the lobby time ticked by and there was no sign of our driver. The concierge kept calling the hotel but he wasn’t there. Great! I didn’t have the name of the company or a phone number to help work things out. Thankfully he did turn up. He’d been waiting at the hotel, Ro called him and told him where I was. His phone worked now, mine didn’t. He called me on the drivers phone to say he’d meet me at the front of the airport. He ...
