... or stayed empty. Nowadays Montreal is a very hip city, known for its festivals, the art and music.

After the walking tour we stayed in Old Town and I tried my very first Poutine (fries with gravy and cheese) for lunch. AMAZING! Loved it! I'm a fan! Later we walked around the central City a bit more and made our way to the Mont Royal District (after a quick detour - meaning I got lost.. We were looking for Rachel Street and followed ...

... isn't it the same in Oz?). It took a little bit of time to get used to living here, but we love it! The Metro runs really well with trains (sometimes crowded) running every 5-10 minutes - another thing that we don't do well back home in our big cities! ... under construction! We made do with splashing in the fountains in the kids play area. We sat here for a little while, cooling off in the shade, eating our sandwiches and reading a little before making a move again. We found our way out of the park easier than we found our way around inside and caught a number 11 bus back to the viewpoint. Once there we oohed and ahhed at the panoramic view of the city obviously posing for a few couplies (a 2person selfie). We ...

Had a good night sleep in the rain.. Luckily it had stopped in the morning though it was still really over cast. We headed to the Les Chutes-Croches Falls where we had to hike a short 720m. The waterfalls had so much spray back that we didn't want to get the camera out as it would have been soaked! The next place we stopped was at the La Chute-du-Diable which was 1.4km to walk to the falls. The water was rather dirty so it wasn't ...
