Meh. This place looks like an old apartment building. The only redeeming quality is that it's on the Boardwalk. The weird thing about the room we got is that there is a window to the bathroom with mini blinds attached to it. Talk about awkward! Other than that, we got a queen bed with a full murphy bed in a tiny room.

... in a live online course presented by Lisa Congdon J Because I subscribe to her blog I was able to reserve a spot as an “online” participant whilst people who could travel or who lived nearby on the West coast could attend it in person. It was streamed live via the CreativeLive website and you could chat to other people and submit questions. She spoke a lot about how she sets goals and organises her days. It was great; I just wish I could have been there!

Unperturbed we played some poker, roulette and slots. Our stake was small but lasted a few hours which was long enough to justify the outlay. The free drinks certainly helped to overcome the drab interiors and the fact that our feet were sticking to the carpet.

We checked out the beach in the morning before we left and it had a nice break, with a few brave surfers and a couple of sunbathers. Alas the boardwalk was still empty. ...

We did go to the beach this time. It was not exactly the cleanest or most lovely but it was still a relaxing pass ...

... in places, coffee table tarnished here and there) but it was clean and comfortable. No complaints. We took a walk up the Boardwalk (late evening, after 9:00 p.m., I think). Some shops on the Boardwalk were open, others had closed for the night. The weather was still not great, but it wasn't raining and it was warm. We thought we'd walk up to the Trump Hotels (Taj Mahal, etc.) but that ended up being a long ways (our hotel is at the southern end of the Boardwalk). When we got to the ...
