    Last Nights in Crete :(

A travel blog entry by tanya.lesiuk on Oct 13, 2014

... here has been unmatched to the month I spent on mainland Greece. There is so much in Crete to understand and unless you are willing to dig dipper to find the information which will aid in your understanding then you will be lost. From what I've see, the Greeks are hard nuts to crack, or maybe it's my nut that needs cracking, if that makes any sense at all. The more I sink into the Greek lifestyle the easier it is to gain understanding but let me say that becoming ...

A travel blog entry by tanya.lesiuk on Oct 10, 2014

I'm not sure if I should call this accidents happen, my finest moment, or girl interrupted. As you all know I'm usually a very organized person but lately it's as if I've been brain dead. ... which he later explained means, River Beach). We get out and go for a walk along a bit of the beach and find a fish washed up on shore. He tosses it into a little swimming hole in between some rocks, convinced that it will swim away, “alive, little bit.” We continue walking and on the way back we notice that the fish is .. well .. not alive. He brings it along with us, of course, because he’s a fisherman .. duh.
Along the way ...

Heraklion is the main city on the Island of Crete. One of those places where it would have been good to have more time. The city itself is modern and uninteresting but it is the gateway to an island that is often spoken of. Time here is short and the weather still not perfect. Reluctantly I tag along to visit the Palace of Knossos or more correctly the reconstructed remnants and remains of the Palace. Once it was the centre of ...
