    ... the sandy shallows. There is a visitor centre here which is built out onto the lake with a big landing to cater for the canoes and power boats to tie up. We've been there before, so we bypassed it this time and headed up the river. A short section of narrow water brought us to the 'Lily Lake' as the girls call it.     The predicted rains came, not sure how much we had but it was heavy. We decided to pack up and leave anyway because it was still raining and lots more heavy rain was predicted.
