Trendy, a little yuppieish and a bit expensive, but can't beat the beach!!! We found a fellow Canadian serving gelato, and enjoyed people watching on Hastings St.
The water is amazing, beautiful, gorgeous...pictures simply can't do it justice. We saw some surfers and a bunch of kite surfers.....won't be trying that one!
... today so I stayed and watched a little bit again! Following that I headed to the shopping centre to get a new suitcase as the wheel on my cheap holdall had perished and caused a big hole!!! Later on I walked along the North of the beach and checked out the river, woods and marine terminal. A little bit of sunbathing in the afternoon to soak up the 33oC heat!!! Another fab ...
We meet Pete and Rach down at Hastings street at 9.30 for our morning walk. We all have packed lunch and trainers on so we are up for a long walk. We get to Noosa national park and check out the different walks, we chose the 10km one. The first 5 are along the coast where we can watch the surfers and look out for dolphins. I think the water is to choppy ...
... would be shut... It wasn't - the town was buzzing and full of people. The beach was pretty full too but not as much as I'd thought. It was already 10:30 by this point so I think quite a few people had already been and gone. We settled on the beach (which incidentally was lovely) and then we had a bit of a photoshoot with Daniella's Santa hat! There was a lot of Santa hats on the beach- quite a few girls were even wearing red bikinis! We then went in the sea which was lovely and ...
... into the restaurants looking for food. As we sat on a bench ourselves looking out over the inlet towards Pomona Mountain, we were not disappointed and as the sun dropped down over the inlet and the sky lit up, we were treated to a beautiful golden sunset to end another great day and the last evening of our stay at Noosa Heads - what a fabulous end to a wonderful stay at Noosa Heads!
Tomorrow we head into our first big Australian city ..... Brisbane.
