    ... was opened the Kandanga Hotel was built and a progress association was formed. Timber was cut at the Upper Kandanga sawmill and sent to Gympie by rail, along with cream, bananas, cattle and pigs. Farming later diversified into citrus and peanuts, and a fruit growers' association was formed in 1923.

    A Catholic church was opened in 1918 and a war memorial hall was built in 1924-25. The old hall was converted to a store, adding to Kandanga's butcher, ...

    ... itching to hashtag. Wish list ticked, we spent the rest of the day marvelling at terrifying tigers, docile dingos, jubilant giraffes, and cranky crocs. We even saw a crocodile show and recoiled as the keeper taunted Weiper, a fully grown male croc, who came snapping out of his murky lair to crunch the head of a poor unfortunate (thankfully dead) pig. We waited a while for lunch after that... In keeping with the Zoo's open ...

    ... us it's quite an expensive place to live. Lots of people often come here for holidays or settle here when they have retired. Also no buildings are allowed to have more than 3 floors - so it's a pretty place with lots of small houses/buildings.

    ... 9am shuttle into town in search for a surf school so I could take a more private lesson but not pay a private-lesson-price. Another chick staying at the hostel pointed me in the right direction (and offered her narrow, short board to me....oy!) and I eventually grabbed a surf lesson. It was kind of raining on and off in the morning but cleared up in the afternoon so that was nice. i managed to downgrade from the silly 9 foot long boards they ...

    ... and explained what happened, so I had to give up my job and will be his carer until he can do everything for himself. Due to the head injuries, it has been advised he is not to drive for 6 months. So I will have to take Kerry to his hospital , physio and OT appointments.
