    Ok so maybe "Free at last" is a bit unfair, but up to now we have been with family and friends and they have stopped us getting into any trouble, but now we are on our own for a bit.
    Early start (no breakfast) as Ian is going to drop us in the city on his way to work and we are going to pick up our hire car. It's a Nissan Qashqai, sorry Fordies …

    Matt needed to register at the Australian Medical Association so we drove into Brisbane city centre on Monday morning. Our experience of English traffic suggested that this was going to be a bad journey, but within 15 minutes we were parking in the centre. Australian cities are spookily quiet!     ... has a heart attack. This is the first time ever the circle has been broken WOW what a feat.

    Amazingly when all was done and dusted the council crew had it all cleaned up in no time? I must say they were helped by the onlookers who to my surprise gathered up pumpkins to cook for soup???

    That was a wonderful day full of fun and laughter.

    Happy hour this evening was quite subdued as we were to coin a phrase buggered!

    ... heeft maar 5 keer geduurd voordat we het door hadden hoe het echt moest) Nu zo solide als een huis laat de storm maar komen. Het was erg warm weer vandaag en na het zweten van het opbouwen hebben we genoten van een ijskoud biertje daarna zijn we stad ingewandeld voor een diner bij de locale Surf Life Saving club aan het strand.....

We waited here for 2 and a half hours but nothing came to collect us (the trip was to stay in the national park and kayak through the rainforest).
