Woke up and looked out of the window and is was cloudy, not fluffy white bits in a blue sky, but real grey clouds!! However the weather forecast said it would clear so we set off to the national park and to our little spot on Tea Tree Beach. As we arrived the warden was telling someone that there had been koalas in the trees by the car park the …

There's lots of free car parking here, but this morning every one else is up and out before us, and we can't …

Ok so maybe "Free at last" is a bit unfair, but up to now we have been with family and friends and they have stopped us getting into any trouble, but now we are on our own for a bit.
Early start (no breakfast) as Ian is going to drop us in the city on his way to work and we are going to pick up our hire car. It's a Nissan Qashqai, sorry Fordies …

Jen had planned for today to be an early Mother's Day because the kids are not normally around on the actual day. The kids chipped in and bought Viv some earrings and rang her. We went to the Noosa markets, then Kin Kin cafe for lunch. We had an amazing visit to a sculptural gallery where we met the sculptor who gave us a personalized tour of his work, unbelievable - Steve Wies. Golden syrup dumplings for tea. Well done ...
